Review of Das Boot (1981) by Gerald H — 22 Jul 2009
I see it as one of the best anti-war films ever made. The ultimate futility of war, offset by the courage and perseverance of the individuals stuck within such because it is their duty to be there. Wonderful movie.
Best in the sub-titled and remastered versions, so you can feel the full effect of the wonderful sound editing in this movie.
