A fantastic german film with the best ending I had ever watched. I saw it on tv first time when I was abt 10 year old. the channel advertised it many times and it was my top priority for the week as usual as I treat das boot just another action war movies on the tube during that time.

I dont really know that it was a german film as das boot was shown in english with malay subtitles of course. even the title had been advertised as the boat. as I watched it there are not much action in the film like I thought it could be but as the movie goes I was surprised and amazed with the story and the ending. I will forever remember the movie's ending. it changed my perspectives on watching movies with a powerful storyline. I began to look out for this kind of movies ever since and those that received awards or got nominated.

I still watch action film though if it is great. I like the movies just like everybody else but das boot makes me love the movies. danke das boot.
