Review of Das Boot (1981) by Nic B — 16 Feb 2011
Absolute perfection. This intense, claustrophobic, nailbiting film is amongst the best war films I've ever seen. Astonishing acting, amazing cinematography and editing, a great score and master class writing and direction all help this 3 and a half hour film become truly memorable.
It's bleak, but this is one journey worth taking.
