Review of Das Boot (1981) by Rob B — 06 May 2011
It's only taken me 30 years since the release of this movie to watch it. Admittedly the 1st 10-15 years I probably wouldn't have appreciated but that's still a long time to get around to watching it.
I'm glad that I've finally got to watch it though, it's a very good movie telling a great story of the service of a U-boat crew. You could really get a sense of the claustrophobia serving on board a submarine would invoke as well as the feelings they had of the war. Definitely worth the 3 1/2 hours of time to watch it.
