Truly a journey in time,Wolfgang does justice to the long reign of war movies by creating this masterpiece which can easily be regarded as the greatest Submarine movie ever made.200 minutes long yet it doesn't lose its sheen for one moment very much like Mallick's 'Thin Red line'.
One of the greatest German movies ever made.
