Review of Das Boot (1981) by Blackity B — 15 May 2009
This is my favorite film. A gritty, realistic depiction of lost innocence, shattered ideals and broken men. Das Boot's climax/conclusion have got to be among cinema's finest moments. On a side note, Jürgen Prochnow (the Captain) pays homage to this movie in 2006's Beer Fest.
