Review of Darkman (1990) by Cristina G — 03 Apr 2010
Sam Raimi includes some of his trademarks in "Darkman," though not enough to save the movie from obscurity. See the scene where Liam Neeson's Peyton Westlake attacks a carnival barker: the crazy lighting, off-kilter photography, and unhinged acting are worthy of something out of the "Evil Dead" series.
Unfortunately, there aren't many scenes like this, with Raimi instead relying on common superhero traits throughout.
