Review of Darkman (1990) by Will H — 16 Jul 2011
Sam Raimi's first crack at the superhero genre, Darkman is like a combination of his earlier Evil Dead work and would he would later go on to do with Spider-Man. A dark, twisted take on the genre, Darkman benefits from decent practical effects, Raimi's direction and good script, and a strong performance from Liam Neeson as the deformed Dr.
Peyton Westlake. Oh, and if Darkman tells you to "Take the f***ing elephant", you DO IT, DAMMIT!
