Review of Darkest Hour (2017) by Pablo G — 28 Jan 2018
By far the best part of Darkest Hour is Gary Oldman's fantastic portrayal of Winston Churchill but that being said Oldman's performance can only carry the film so far narratively. Functioning almost better as a companion piece to Dunkirk then as a stand-alone movie, Darkest Hour sometimes falls into cliches but overall is an enjoyable experience if only for Oldman's performance.
