The standout movie of 2018 that had me on the edge of my seat. An outstanding performance. This movie will sweep the Oscars. Gary Oldman delivers a performance that is at once accurate and compelling. The film explores the events that led to Churchill's installment as Prime Minister and the hopeless situation he inherited.
The film describes the decision to fight on - alone - in the face of overwhelming odds and against the wishes of his party because he recognised the evil that was Nazi Germany.
