Review of Darkest Hour (2017) by Andreas M — 25 Jan 2018
Gary Oldman lives up to the hype in every way possible. He alone makes the entire film engrossing, even though (as most other critics have rightly noted) the plot and tension waver throughout the film.
There is some really beautiful cinematography as well, it's much more artistic than what you'd expect from a normal biopic. It isn't a film you are going to want to watch over and over, but it's one that people will watch for a clinic in acting and style.
