Review of Dark Star (1974) by Daniel L — 16 Nov 2007
This is one of my favourtie films and it has received a bad press for its low budget and its director's mealy mouthed attitude towards it.
Although I liked the intelligent bomb that decided it was God at the end of the film before blasting the crew into infinity, my favourite character was the ship's navigator, a reclusive hippy who sat in the ship's dome contemplating the universe. At the end of the film he merged with his favorite asteroid belt. Awesome stuff, he is my guru and role model.
BTW Richard the film was made in 1973 and is not a '60s film.
