Review of Dark Star (1974) by Casey T — 13 Jun 2008
Campy to a fault, this film tries to merge the humor of Dr. Strangelove and MASH into a sci-comedy. Moments of comedic success are overshadowed by the amateur quality special effects, overuse of the slapstick "alien", and long stretches of unimaginative dialogue.
Watch it, laugh a few times, then forget you've ever heard of it.
