Review of Dark Star (1974) by Kajsa L — 09 Nov 2009
I am always interested in John Carpenters films, even if I dont necessarily always like them. I think that "Halloween" has a lot of good stuff about it, but unfortunatly it has suffered from being awfully dated.
Dark Star, however, is a smart and funny film, and despite the budget of an average trip to the supermarket the film still works really well. There is a bit in the middle where it drags slightly, but it picks up towards the end and the ending is perfect.
Definite for any fan of Sci-Fi and a must see for anyone who likes John Carpenter.
