Basically a pretty retarded experimental '70s student film from John Carpenter, but in all the trippy mess, there are some gems - the birth of the 'Alien' from writer Dan O'Bannon, (even if it is just a beach ball) to the attempted philsophical reasoning with a talking bomb, and the strange disconnect of being in space waaaaay too long, dude.
