Review of Dark Star (1974) by Julian T — 05 Dec 2011
John Carpenter's debut, this seventies sci-fi dabble from the horrormeister has a lot of charm thanks to rather than despite its hokey 'special effects', the funniest of which involves an alien that's little more than a beach ball with a funny voice.
The seventies' idea of the future is always entertaining.
