Review of Dark Places (2015) by Spencer K — 07 Mar 2016

Gone Girl was my favorite film of 2014 and when I heard they were adapting another Gillian Flynn novel to the screen I was excited. I loved all her books and I was interested to see where this would go.

I knew it wouldn't come close to the heights of Gone Girl obviously, and it didn't, but I still enjoyed it. it was a dark, intense film with a stellar performance from Charlize Theron, a solid script, good directing, even if the pacing was off and it was a bit dull at times.
