Review of Dark Passage (1947) by Clare N — 05 Jan 2008
A really good film noir from delmer daves. The choice of having the first 20 some minutes of the film in first person is interesting but doesn't quite work. Bogie is cleaver and cunning but this ain't no sam spade.
Bacall is the best thing about the picture, she is gorgeous and plays it smart. The chemistry between the two is great as always. the ending feels a bit tacked on but the rest of the story holds up real well.
