Review of Dark Passage (1947) by Pierluigi P — 28 Nov 2010
I found this to be a very gripping movie. This suspense was significant, the twists and turns were shocking, and the chemistry between Bogart and Bacall was good. The scenery in the film is quite incredible and it is very unique with the part were Bogart's face is not seen for the first hour or so.
There was one thing that bothered me. It was when Agnes Moorehead fell out of the window of her skyscraper. Her falling out was noticeably a dummy. The movement of her in the air where not physically possible and looked as if she had no spine.
That being said, it was a very good movie. It may not be as strong as previous classics, The Big Sleep and To Have and Have Not, but it is well worth the watch.
