Review of Dark Passage (1947) by Melody Of Your Demise ~ — 29 Sep 2008
I'm giving it a 3 instead of a 4 just because of the fact that you don't get to actually see Bogart until an hour into the film (which had me alittle annoyed! lol).
The storyline was alittle weak. Its about a convict (Bogie) who escapes prison to find his wife's true killer and is helped by a mysterious woman (Bacall) who somehow knows alot about him. To get rid of the police, he undergoes plastic surgery in hopes of 1) finding the killer 2) starting a new life afterwards.
Needless to say I was entertained throughout the film (yeah I have a soft spot for Bogie...it's his eyes!) and would see it again.
