A decently creepy and original, made-for-TV slasher film that follows the wrongful, vigilante execution of a mentally disabled man and the revenge that follows. Dark Night of the Scarecrow lacks the gratuitous gore, nudity, and bad language of most slasher films, but it still manages to effectively craft a creepy atmosphere and imply brutality in a fashion that makes it somewhat memorable if not brilliant.
