Review of Dark Matter (2008) by Guoqing Z — 02 Jul 2008
This was a pretty good movie. This shows how hard it really is for gifted students from other parts of the world to assimilate into the American society. Seems pretty cut and dry, go in, do the best, and you get respect. Unfortunately, most don't have the taste or can't smell the stench of politics that plagues society. He did stuff that was better than his superior, but his superior made him pay. The end result didn't benefit anyone.
Overall, this is well orchestrated. It has some really down spots, but it also has some bright spots. Very good plot that plays out well. Very stoic acting from most of the foreign characters, but was still effective. Directing was adequate and the subtitles were readable.
