Review of Dark Horse (2012) by Marc-Daniel O — 13 Sep 2013
Dark horse is the anti TED movie as it exposes the dramatic issues of being a gen x loser in a state of arrested development. But although Abe's character seems obnoxious, one learns to be more and more critic versus Abe's environment's behavior.
At some point Abe's incapacity to make a difference between his fantasies and the real world appears to be a desperate treat against the insanity of his environment. Over possessive mother, despiteful father, arrogant brother.
And do not expect the ending to be a happy because life is a bitch. Actor's performance is a must in a context of a sober and neat staging. Selmar Blair's gets the attention in a troubling realistic interpretation.
A must see.
