Review of Dark Days (2000) by Danny H — 19 Jul 2008
I would be very interested to find out how the director found these people. I'm glad he did though, albeit not as much as they probably are, judging by the end. Its not too often a documentary has you on the edge of your seat, waiting to find out what's going to happen, but this really gets you emotionally attached to its subjects before introducing an unexpected conflict.
There's really no one I wouldn't recommend this movie to, especially if you need to stop feeling sorry for yourself. DJ Shadow does all the music, which works really well with the style of cinematography.
