Review of Daredevil (2003) by Lloyd H — 12 Mar 2013
I really wanted this film to be a success as I'm a big fan of the comic book character Daredevil, but this high potential movie adaption is awful. Ben Affleck in my opinion was well cast for this film and suited the character perfectly, but the lack of story telling and pacing issues ruin a film that could of been so good.
Jennifer Garner and Colin Farrell are pretty woeful in supporting roles as Elektra and Bullseye respectively. I was pleased however by the involvement of Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin. The fight scenes are choreographed well and there are the occasional moments of enjoyment, but overall compared to most other superhero films, Daredevil just doesn't compete.
