Review of Daredevil (2003) by Stephen Z — 11 Aug 2014

Daredevil is a terribly average superhero film with well choreographed fights but nothing special in between them. It was a noble attempt, but it comes off as a Batman and Spider-Man want to be, and doesn't even come close to reaching the heights of either franchise.

With those superheroes, we are invested in the characters, but here, I honestly couldn't care less for the protagonists. Both villains were corny and very weak. I can commend the fight scenes, because they are well executed.

But in between those fights, is bland dialogue and everything we've seen in every other superhero movie. Daredevil gets 2/5 stars (C-).
