Review of Dante's Peak (1997) by Nathan C — 20 Sep 2010
Kinda funny and hokey, but this disaster movie is far better than Volcano. Good acting from everyone, decent special effects and sets, a stirring score, and thrills make this one of the more underrated disaster movies yet.
Really, this didn't suck as badly as everyone claims it to be. Its portrayal of a volcanic eruption and its aftermath on a settlement is realistic, with some accurate geology in the mix.
