Review of Danny Deckchair (2003) by John N — 14 Apr 2011
This is such a beautiful and heart-warming film. It's premise is complimentary towards "The Wizard of Oz" in that the protagonist is discontent with life and dreams of something better in a far-off land.
In this film, like "The Wizard of Oz", the hero "flies" to a beautiful new world filled with fascinating characters where he (or she) discovers a new understanding of home and, ultimately, the inherent value of the ordinary.
I highly recommend this great little movie.
