Review of Danny Collins (2015) by Matt H — 30 Jun 2015

A little too much been there, done that, and too pat, but for Pacino at this point in his career (sadly), a solid effort. This could have been more interesting as a darker and more serious narrative about a rocker trying to make amends for past misdeeds, but the movie has desire to be that, and goes through a lot of familiar plot points.

Also, Pacino's attempts at singing shows he has no musical talent whatsoever, so that part is sort of hard to believe. Still somewhat enjoyable.
