John Malkovich and Glenn Close deliver amazing performances in this well made adaptation of Choderlos de Laclos' classic piece. Christopher Hampton's Academy Award winner screenplay lacks the fire and intensity of the original material in the first half, but prepares the ground for a merciless ending.
Close's final scene is simple, porwerful and unforgettable.
