Review of Dangerous Liaisons (1988) by Loco Y — 02 Jan 2013
I just loved Dangerous Liaisons! It's a fantastic movie that got one of the most impressive casts ever (well, Keanu Reeves is as terrible as usual) and had an impeccable manufacture (beautiful art direction, costume design, make-up, hair, score, cinematography, edition).
.. but the element that shines the most here are the performances by the three leading characters (Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer), directed by the great Stephen Frears. It was completely unfair that this film lost the Oscars it got nominated for and that neither Frears nor Malkovich got a nod.
