Review of Dangerous Beauty (1998) by Tracy N — 13 Nov 2007
Rich with Venetian culture, Dangerous Beauty engages all your senses whilst teasing delightfully and seductively. I actually studied this movie for a Costume History course, and ended up getting more wrapped up in the story than the colours and fabrics.
It portrays the life choices women were presented with and socitey's view on a woman's place in the home - become a courtsean and learn the wonders and knowledge of the world, or wed as a wife and become slave to your family.
A very tantilizing movie indeed!
