After reading about this movie as a kid, I finally got the movie on VHS and thought it ok. Only later when I replaced it with DVD and rewatched it (with a some great extras) did I have a better appreciate of the movie and liked it much better.
I better appreciated the style and music. Probably one of the best adaptations of a comic book series to movies. While they took some liberties (mainly with Eva Kant), overall pretty good.
