Review of Dancing Lady (1933) by Clare W — 09 Aug 2008
No, it doesn't really deserve four stars... it has a plot so light it was typed with candy floss, there's glamour when not required, song-n-dance routines that go on far too long... but it also has chemistry between Gable & Crawford that it almost burns up the screen.
So it's Astaire's first movie, I don't care. What makes it more than what it deserves to be is Gable & Crawford.
