Review of Dances with Wolves (1990) by Goran H — 23 Jan 2010
The longest version is the best. find out first if you can. I recommend checking out the 2 part full length movies. they do not have any cut scenes - they are very important to the movie. the movie follows the life of a soldier whos life transforms after his assignment to the american frontier. the soldier fort he finds on arrival deserted becomes his new home. the movie is narrated from the entries of the soldiers journal as we witness the beginning of Dances with Wolves.
John barry's soundtrack has everything to do with the beauty of this film. those of you who think this movie is a bit boring should watch the uncut versions. the movie has lots of action and will keep you on the edge of your seat (see pawnee attack, return for the journal) but also lots of emotion (two socks, cisco scenes) and that is all I will say.
