Review of Dance of the Dead (2008) by Az D — 25 Oct 2008
It's hard to fault an independent movie with such a rock-bottom budget, but, like most movies that focus around high school characters, Dance of the Dead's actors come off more annoying than snarky.
It's about this town that built a nuclear power plant right next to a graveyard (awesome idea), and all the zombies come to life on the high school's prom night, leaving it up to the undesirables who couldn't get dates to save the day.
Yeah. It's ridiculous in parts, with zombies literally getting shot out of the ground. They make zombies become entranced with music, which doesn't make any sense in any zombie universe that I'm aware of.
The screenplay was written all the way back in 1998 and could have easily stayed locked away for another ten years.
