Comedy and horror are hard to pull off; so a horror-comedy is REALLY hard to get right. Though it's no Shaun of the Dead, Dance of the Dead has its moments. After a sluggish beginning, the elements start to gel into a satisfactory whole.
A game cast and the talent behind the scenes help scurry the film over some weaker parts. The title's kind of a misnomer, since the prom only plays a big part of the last act.
