Review of Dance of the Dead (2008) by Keith A — 24 Oct 2009
When I first saw this at Blockbuster, I thought I was in for another by-the-numbers teen horror movie. Shockingly enough, this is NOT the case for "Dance of the Dead". It was definitely something different, a teen horror comedy that's actually funny AND suspenseful without taking itself too seriously.
A B-movie bonanza that has top-notch breakout cast, many of whom have acted before and actually look like they could be in high school. So, if you take "Shaun of the Dead" mix it in with a teen movie from the 80s or 90s, then, "Dance of the Dead" is the successful result.
Just don't try to think too much when watching it.
