Review of Dance, Girl, Dance (1940) by Larry D — 16 Mar 2008
I have a confession to make. I've always preferred Lucille Ball's work PRIOR to I Love Lucy. And this movie perfectly displays her many talents that people who only know her TV work rarely get to see.
Not everything in this movie works, but it's refreshing to see a somewhat feminist slant to an old movie. And Maria Ouspenskaya is funny and poignant as always.
