Review of Dagon (2001) by Spooky G — 01 Sep 2018
Somehow Gordon captures his signature cheese, while providing a truly suspenseful, atmospheric, and sometimes brutal entry to his film career. As a hardcore Lovecraft fan, I also found this to be one of the best adaptations of his work.
Some might complain that it lacks the humorous elements of Gordon's Reanimator, but I prefer a faithful adaptation with existential terror to a loose adaptation filled with comedic gore porn.
