All in all, this is one of the best translations of Lovecrafts work to date. That being said its still not great. It has its moments when the visuals rock. If you take the movie on its own merits and forget what its supposed to be based on, this movie is very enjoyable.
A bit cheesy at points but all in all a good watch.
