Review of Dad's Army (2016) by Ivanandjanetdun — 05 Feb 2016
Simply an old fashioned family movie - enjoyed by 11 year old grandson, his 39 year old father and grandparents. Plot and characters entirely suited to theme and period, technical special effects replaced by superb Yorkshire scenery.
Zeta Jones played a totally creditable role as a German spy, with the expected buffoonery of the Dad's Army characters. Would not be surprised if this movie does not receive top reviews from the "professional critics",as it lacked any foul language, nudity, sex scenes or gory violence, but we just wish there was more of this type of family entertainment.
