Review of Daddy's Home (2015) by A T — 22 May 2016

Uh... I guess it was slightly better than Get Hard? In a way, reflecting on Christmas 2015 this was the most surprising movie to connect with audiences despite the horrible reviews. I mean even the trailers made this seems like this was going to flop.

So I'm not sure how this turned around. I laughed at a few jokes, but really the ratio falls flat, and not in the "oh it's just not funny" group, but more in the "it's just too parental of jokes to find funny at this age" group.

Maybe this is geared for parents, I mean as a kid who grew up on Ferrell I didn't find it "that" funny. But I just wish Ferrell did more high concept stuff instead of everyday man things.

I guess it's the reverse of Seth Rogen.
