Having watched this Ferrell/Wahlberg vehicle way after the fact, I can honestly say there's a lot going for it. It's tight, well paced, hits the right beats and, most importantly, it's funny.
It doesn't break any ground, but as far as family comedies goes, it's one of the better made ones.
