I was really looking forward to this one after being a huge fan of Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg in The Other Guys. Not only was that an incredibly funny film, but it was a great as a screenplay in its own right too with brilliant supporting performances from Michael Keaton and Steve Coogan.

This however, was very much a boring, formulaic affair with two 'dads' fighting over the affection of two children. The set-pieces were very funny though and I laughed at least 12 or 13 times. But in reality the story is so dull that you cannot wait till the film moves to its next set-piece so you can at least chuckle. Ferrell and Wahlberg have great comic chemistry and are fine in the roles that they play.

Linda Cardellini is allowed to do so little in the film its almost unfair. And it could just be me but I struggled to understand the children at times. When I did understand, the little girl had some unbelievable lines to say; Outnumbered it ain't.

Not very good as a film, but still laughed at the gags.
