I never saw the first film and the sole reason I wanted to see this was for Mel Gibson. I've always enjoyed him as an actor and director and I hadn't seen him in a comedy since What Women Want. Well I can say after seeing this film I'm still waiting to see him in a new comedy. The film just didn't make me laugh and the only thing I enjoyed was seeing Mel on the big screen again.

Just watch What Women Want it's a far better film.
