As someone who liked the first Daddy's Home, let's just say that this Christmas sequel is quite unnecessary. The cast is talented, the children aren't too shabby themselves and I laughed a couple of times.
The "Do They Know It's Christmas Time?" sequence was pretty good too, in my opinion. But it suffers from being forgettable, adding unnecessary narrative conflict and rather annoyingly cheesy and predictable.
Your Mileage May Vary regarding the quality of this sequel, especially if you genuinely thought the first film was funny.
