Review of Dad (2003) by Debbie P — 06 Apr 2009
Dad is from 1989 and stars Jack Lemmon, Ted Danson and Ethan Hawke. This highly under-rated movie is about the relationship between a grown son and his ailing father. Lemmon gives one heck of a performance, probably the best in his "golden years".
Ethan Hawke plays his grandson, who is just starting to know his grandfather at the end of his life, while he is amending his relationship with his own father (Danson). Very good film.
