Review of Dabangg (2010) by Pranav K — 19 Feb 2011
Dabangg brings back the Indian "Western" (aka every run-of-the-mill Bollywood film circa 1980-1995) and reinvents the genre by injecting it with steroids, resulting in an intentionally over-the-top escapist movie, for today's audiences.
Salman is great as always; Sonakshi gives a great debut--she is not one of the many plastic surgery clones entering the film industry these days, but is proud of her heritage and values. "Mast Mast Nain" is a nice song.
