Review of Cyrus (2010) by The E — 22 Feb 2011
This is not as bad as my friends made it out to be, but nowhere near as good as all the critics made it out to be.There's nothing really terrible about it: it's just kinda dull. There's a good plot but it's too middling, it never went to War of the Roses high drama neither did it go to Step-Brothers levels of insane hilarity where it should have gone either of those two ways.
There are some good moments here and John C Reilly is really good playing a really good character, as is Jonah Hill and Marisma Tomei, but everyone else, cast and crew together, just seem to be phoning it in.
